Optical Iridium repeater kits

Each kit contains:

Two outdoor antennas with mounting brackets
IP65-rated outdoor unit (ODU) with internal AC/DC power supply
Indoor unit (IDU) is either 19” rack-mountable or standalone compact option
Two indoor antennas with mounting brackets (can be dual zone with 4 indoor antennas)

Internal DWDM technology means that only one fibre optic strand is needed between ODU and IDU.

The single optical link is bi-directional; downlink signals pass from satellites through to the interior space simultaneously with uplink signals from Iridium devices to the satellites above.

The outdoor unit (ODU) and indoor unit (IDU) can be connected to fibre optic patch panels to take advantage of existing building infrastructure.

Or ODU and IDU can be connected with a dedicated length of optical fibre.

Single zone optical repeater system

The 1u high IDU can be mounted in a standard 19″ rack or placed on a suitable shelf. Power supply is internal and requires an AC power supply.

Optionally, the Compact IDU can be wall-mounted or shelf-mounted. Powered by an external AC/DC adapter.

Compact IDU

The compact IDU can support two separate zones (four antennas) in cases where two areas or rooms within a building require Iridium coverage.

Standard indoor cables are all 20m in length but can be longer if cable is upgraded to a lower-loss alternative.
